The 125,000 square foot building includes offices and classrooms that house the University’s Education Department. Elm provided the MEP design and LEED consulting services for the project which is anticipating LEED Silver certification. The project includes solar water heating, low flow fixtures, low wattage lighting, green roof, energy efficient transformers, and other sustainable elements.
Elm also performed the energy model for the first LEED registered building on campus. The existing Central Chiller and Boiler Plants were audited to determine if adequate capacity was available to serve this building.
